Game 4 PEACE Alumnus Brian Scott, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania lives a life that is a testament to resilience and transformation, from his early days navigating the tough streets of South Philadelphia to becoming a dedicated youth mentor and social justice advocate. Born and raised in a challenging environment, Brian developed sharp improvisational skills that helped him survive and thrive amidst the gritty streets at a very young age. He sharpened his Improvisational skills as a youth navigating the streets of Philadelphia and other cities where he would instantly and convincingly transform into Leading, Character and Supporting roles in a blink of the eye. Brian advises Game 4 P.E.A.C.E Philly Co-Executive Director Mizz Gabrielle Nicole on creating curriculums geared towards system-impaired youth in theatre arts.

He became a chameleon-like character where he lived a life that took an unexpected turn after decades of a successful life of crime, Brian was charged, convicted, and imprisoned to a natural life sentence for the only crime he didn’t commit. While incarcerated, he heard about a former prosecutor called by God to release all the innocent people he had put in jail. Brian reached out to him, and the prosecutor reviewed his case, confirming that there was no way he could have committed the crime. The prosecutor worked diligently on Brian’s behalf, and despite the former parole board members’ refusal to ever let him out, a whole new board, respecting the prosecutor’s judgment, granted Brian his freedom.

Brian’s release was not just a second chance; it was a mission. He tirelessly advocates for change and upliftment, Brian embraced the path of social justice. As a youth mentor, Brian is deeply embedded in the community, leading initiatives aimed at guiding young people away from crime and gang life. He mentors new inmates as they transition back into society, providing them with the support and guidance needed to make positive choices.

Brian’s role as a lead mentor within his organization includes instilling core values—perseverance, empathy, accountability, compassion, and most importantly, love—into the youth he mentors.
